Anyone can get free legal advice from a lawyer for a simple question or a referral for a more complex problem. For this, you can call the Advice Line or stop by an organization in your area.

For everyone. Regardless your income, family situation, profession, social status or financial resources.

By whom

Our lawyers assigned by the Commission for Legal Assistance are glad to help you, by
appointment or by phone. You can contact the Advice Line on weekdays on 03 260 72 60 between 10am-12pm and 5pm-6pm. On the right, you will find a list of locations for each area.

Which questions?

You will be given a short answer to your simple legal question, you won’t receive elaborate advice or an in-depth investigation of your case. For this, you yourself will have to engage a lawyer, pro bono or otherwise.

For foreigners

A foreigner (or family of) who has a question about immigration law can visit the office for Permanent Legal Assistance for Foreigners of Vreemdelingenpermanentie for a free first consultation (by phone, mail, or in person). Or every Friday by appointment at the BJB in Antwerp.
