How can we help you?

This is what a lawyer can do for you

A lawyer does much more than plead in court. He can advise you, represent you, draft legal texts or negotiate on your behalf. His duties also often include mediating a conflict situation. He is always your confidant: everything you trust your lawyer with falls under professional secrecy. A lawyer charges a fee for these services, but in some cases you do not need to pay for them in full yourself.

This is what Bar of Antwerp can do for you

The Bar of Antwerp represents almost 3,000 lawyers from the province of Antwerp. We are located in the courthouses of Antwerp, Mechelen and Turnhout. Through the Legal Aid Office or BJB (Bureau Juridische Bijstand), we assign you a pro bono lawyer if you are entitled to one.
The legal profession is strictly regulated, so a lawyer cannot just do whatever he or she wants. You can also contact us if you find yourself embroiled in a dispute with your lawyer.
